Statutory language to allow Massachusetts to join the Interstate PT Compact successfully passed the State Senate this week as part of the Senate Economic Development bill. The language, originally part of S.1506, is a priority of APTA MA this session. Just this past week, Michigan became the 40th state as well as Washington, DC, to join the Compact. Thanks to the more than 350 members who contacted their state Senator in support of the bill. The Economic Development bill is likely now headed to a Conference Committee with the House.
