This course is targeted at any clinician practicing in populations effected by transitions of menopause. With recent dropping of black box labeling, this course will address obtaining a better understanding of the hormonal changes and treatment options available. This will inform providers about the genitourinary and musculoskeletal syndromes related to menopause transitions.
Nadine Adams will be discussing the ways Pelvic health therapy can help manage the symptoms associated with the Genitourinary and Musculoskeletal syndromes of menopause and generate a discussion to see how therapists in the audience are currently addressing these issues. Dr Gina Zarella will be discussing the benefits of HRT to help treat these symptoms, which patients are appropriate for HRT therapy or not and how we can guide our patients to ask the right questions to stay informed.

Presenters
Gina Zarella, MD, MSCP and Nadine Adams, PT, CPT
Nadine Adams has been a Physical therapist for 33 years and has worked in a variety of clinical settings from Acute and long term rehab, outpatient orthopedics, home care and had her own outpatient cash based physical therapy practice specializing in diastasis recti rehabilitation. Nadine has been a Fitness instructor and personal trainer for as long as she has been a therapist and has a passion for exercise, education and wellness. She has been on faculty for a fitness education company teaching continuing education courses to her fitness peers over the past 15 years and enjoys teaching others as well as her patients. She became interested in Pelvic health physical therapy after having her 2 children and a complicated recovery. She came to Peak 6 years ago to help develop her orthopedic and pelvic health skills with a team of like minded therapists. Nadine was promoted to the Pelvic health Director last Year and is proud to call Peak her home.
Gina grew up in Marshfield, MA. She studied political science and philosophy at BU. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, and then worked in international development before deciding to pursue medical training at UMass Medical School. She completed a residency in family medicine at UCSD. After working in primary care for 6 years at Mass General Brigham, Gina joined The French NP in Hingham to focus on wellness and HRT for women in perimenopause and menopause.
