Presented by: Katherine Wingate, PT, DPT

Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome (CECS) is commonly seen in the running athlete, but it has a two-year delay on average in patients seeking medical care. This often leads to failed conservative management and the need for patients to undergo surgical interventions via a fasciotomy. This presentation will review differential diagnoses of lower leg pain, the importance of early recognition of biomechanical deficits in the lower kinetic chain, and discuss integration of manual therapy techniques to treat CECS.
