SCHOLARSHIP AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We are pleased that you are considering applying for a scholarship or summer internship through the Massachusetts Democratic Party. The Party offers two opportunities for your consideration.

To be eligible for either opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

•  Be a Massachusetts resident
•  Currently enrolled in a college or university in the United States
•  Be entering into your third or fourth year of college study in the fall of 2007 with a GPA of 3.0 or better
•  Be 18- 23 years of age by September 1, 2007
•  Complete the entire application and submit the required materials

The John F. Kennedy Scholarship will be awarded in May at the Democratic State Convention in Amherst . The award of $1,500 will be credited toward your fall 2007 semester. One male and one female student will be chosen.

Another great opportunity is the John Joseph Moakley Democratic Internship . A grant of $2,500 is offered for a ten-week political internship with the Massachusetts Democratic Party. You will work at the State Party Headquarters with a member of the staff to assist the State Party further its mission and programs.
