Districts

The APTA of Massachusetts is divided into five districts divided by zip codes. Members are assigned to a district based on their mailing address; however, a member may request assignment to a district based on where they live, work, or attend school, that is different from their mailing address, or by special request to the board of directors. The districts provide the process for the apportionment of Assembly of Representatives and election of district delegates to the APTA House of Delegates. The membership count in each district is used to determine the district’s representation in the assembly.

Each district help to meet the needs and interests of its members through identification, coordinated action, communication and fellowship.
