Welcome to the American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts, Inc., (APTA of MA). The APTA of MA is a component of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is comprised of approximately 1,850 members, consisting of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students in the field of physical therapy.
The Mission of the APTA of MA is to serve its membership by providing resources that support the highest standards of physical therapy, in order to promote the health, safety and welfare of the people of Massachusetts. APTA of MA's Goal is to foster advancement in physical therapy practice, education, and research.
The APTA of MA strives to provide a central forum for the exchange of information for physical therapists and their patients in Massachusetts, as well as a center for continuing education. In addition, the APTA of MA endeavors to inform physical therapy patients of what is available to them and to collaborate with insurers to ensure fair practices.
